The Galaxy is your Transportation System
into the next millennium. Galaxy 2000 will
continue to offer support, guidance and understanding in an ever-changing market
place. Tactics that we will continue into
year 2000 include the New Millennium, concentrating on emerging trends which
may effect your future.

What is the future of the Lessee Dealer?

"Change the channel please" will be introduced next year in an effort to help dealers understand the shifting market place and the opportunity that results. Our intention is to develop a series of workshops explaining preferred class of trade (channels).

How will you plan your future and maximize your performance?

Last year we introduced the Galaxy Scorecard,
a balanced scorecard method for developing
and executing a total business plan for growth. While the Galaxy Scorecard was ambitious, it was overly complicated, and thus cumbersome in its execution. In 2000 we have redesigned the Scorecard with simplicity in mind. Very specific measurements will allow you to match tactics with identified weaknesses and opportunities.

What trends in our industry should you identify and understand?

In the upcoming year we will introduce a forum to collect pertinent industry data and present it in a fashion that is easy to understand. Being aware of competitive activity will

broaden our understanding and enable us to plan accordingly.

Imagine a world where we could operate several enterprises with multiple profit centers!

Perhaps! A Team Boston initiative in year 2000 will include the total site franchise. A concept that would take advantage of franchisor expertise allowing us to offer the services and conveniences the motoring public is seeking in the new millennium.

Are you prepared for the world of e-commerce?

A Team Boston sub-task committee is currently working on an initiative to position our Texaco and Shell stations for the world of e-commerce. In addition, the team is exploring in depth a dealer web site. E-commerce opportunity might include a simple first step e-kiosk, enabling your customers to connect and order products on-line.

Are you hyper?

How will the hyper markets - or how are the hyper markets affecting your business? What strategy will you employ to compete with this new market presence? A Team Boston task force to address these important issues will examine strategies and tactics.
