In the third quarter 1999, the Alliance companies and their Shell and Texaco retail and wholesale channel part-ners will be able to link up to the industry's first multi-spectrum internal communication program, allianceonline.      Available on a secured Internet Web site, allianceon-line will offer a wealth of information. To many retailers and wholesalers, the most critical data they will "click on" will be luel price changes for their markets and their busi-ness's account information all updated daily. But that's just the beginning...      The categories on the allianceonline menu screen will also include:

Sponsorships & Events, Wholesaler or Retailer Development, Advertising/Promotions, Brand Initiatives, B.E.S.T. Retail Execution, Vendors & Suppliers and Category Management Merchandising Initiatives.      What about channel partners who don't have computers, or those who might not be capable of using allianceonline with their existing equipment?      That base is covered.
