The purpose of the New Millennium is to present
various view points of where our business will be in
five years. Should you want to learn how to prepare
for the future, don't miss the New Millennium.
Speaking of the New Millennium, trends to consider
as described by the Trend and the Kip-plinger letter
are:
Retailers Rediscover Downtown
Overdeveloped suburbs and unstable foreign
markets will continue to force retailers to give urban
locations a second look. Pent-up demand from long-
deprived urban-ites will insure their success.
Successful redevelopment will attract more empty-
nesters and childless couples, ultimately fueling an
urban renaissance.
Techno-Toys: Messengers from the cutting edge
Toys, games and gadgets introduce consumers to
brave new technological world. Trend implications...
For decades, the most advanced consumer-
electronics products trickled down from super-
computers used by government defense and space
agencies. Now that process is being turned upside
down. Increasingly, researchers and companies with
much at stake will introduce technological innovations
through non-threatening, user- friendly ways.
Technology is only useful and profitable when
embraced by the general population. Toys, games
and gadgets take the fear out of the unfamiliar. |
Galaxy
Gala
All Team Boston Dealers are invited to attend
Galaxy Gala, a Celebration for the Celebrity Service
Ambassadors. Celebrity Service Ambas-sadors are
the folks responsible for training all of the dealer's
employees in customer service, brand standards,
merchandising, company headquarter programs,
promotions and events. So mark your calandar for
Thursday, July 15 at the Sheraton Hyannis. The
agenda will be simple, straight forward, and will
go like this:

· Noon
Lobster Clambake
Celebrity dealers, make sure you arrive on time
with your Ambassadors, as you will want them to
receive this award.
Team Boston will be conducting special Ambas-
sador Training in the month of July. If you are not
participating in Celebrity Service and would like to
assign someone in your organization responsible for
executing programs and standards, then make sure
they attend this special training. These meetings will
teach your Ambassador among other items, the
"Driven to Win" and "Winning Combination" head-
quarter programs.
